This Monday, Finance Minister, Dwight Duncan, Officers of PLG (Provincial Lottery and Government) and Chairman of Lottery Gaming in Ontario, Paul Godfrey has conducted a media conference for having various discussions regarding the modernization of lottery and other casino games in Ontario. In fact, Ontario of Canada has been consistently flirting with their ideas of bringing amendments in their present gambling regulations, so that it could receive huge amount of profit from the lucrative online gambling sector.
The statement from Lottery Gaming in Ontario has revealed that the revenue they obtained from various online gambling activities is approximately Cdn$500 million. However, at present, all these amounts go to online gaming websites at the offshore. The agency has sent various proposal requests, which would help them in setting both up and coming online gambling activities such as video slots and video poker, along with selling of lottery tickets.
