Video Poker Objective
The objective of Video Poker is to simply beat the machine by having hand, usually a pair of Jacks or better, that receives a payout greater than or equal to the player's bet.
Video Poker Machine Layout
The Jacks Or Better Video Poker screen contains a payout schedule at the top and the five cards that are in play just below the payout schedule. Shown below the cards are the amount of credits the player has in the video poker machine, the payout for the hand played and how much the player has bet on the hand.
Below the screen are the user controls, or buttons. These include, from left to right, the Cash Out button (not shown above), the five Hold buttons for each card in play, the Bet Min button, the Bet Max button and the Deal button.
Below the user controls, at about thigh-level is the coin slot where the player deposits money, known as credits. Below the coin slot is the coin bowl. This is where the player's credits come out of the video poker machine when the player chooses to cash out.

Video Poker Rules (How To Play)
• The player deposits a minimum bet up to the maximum bet into the video poker machine.
• The player hits the Deal button and five cards are then dealt.
• Based on the cards dealt, the player chooses to hold one or more cards by pressing the card's corresponding Hold button.
• The player then presses the Deal Button again. This keeps the held cards and discards the the remaining cards in the hand.
• Based on the resulting cards, the player wins or loses the video poker hand. If the player wins, they are credited the winnings.
• Repeat the above steps for successive video poker hands.
• When the player is done playing, the Cash Out button is hit to receive any credits in the video poker machine.
